Pulliman movie review

Anil K Nair's 'Pulliman' is set in the scenic Perimannur village. Kunjunni (Kalabhavan Mani) is a youngster in the village who is loved by all.

Nobody knows how Kunjunni got his name. But what everyone knows indeed is that it's Kunjunni who puts the village to sleep every night. Kunjunni wakes up the village every morning as well.

If the villagers do not get to hear Kunjunni's voice for a day, an unusual silence prevails all over. One day, Kunjunni suddenly disappears from the village. The villagers launch a search for him, and finally reach the river side looking for him.

While Kalabhavan Mani plays a singer yet again after 'Vasanthiyum, Lakshmiyum Pinne Njanum', Meera Nandan plays his heroine.

Biju menon, Nedumudi Venu, Innocent, Ravikumar, Jaffar, Mamukoya, Ponvarnnan, Prathap Pothen, Siddique, Suraj Venjaramooodu, Sharanya, shari, Bindu Panickar and K P A C Lalitha form the supporting cast.

Sarath has composed the music for the lyrics written by Kaithapram, Vayalar Sarath Chandra Verma and Vijesh. Cinematography is by Rajaratnam and art direction by Kishore.

Anil K Nair who has worked as Lal Jose's assistant has scripted the film as well. Antony Paimpalli produces the film under the banner of Reuben's International.

'Pulliman' is all set for a Vishu release.
